Pedal for Kids launches its 2017 edition
Pedal for Kids began in 1992, when Sylvie Lalumière and Michael Conway decided to fundraise in memory of their daughter Meagan, who had been treated at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. Twenty-six years later, the event is still going strong with almost 20,000 cyclists and 166 teams taking part over the years. Collectively, they have raised almost $11.9 million.
Pedal for Kids has helped transform the lives of thousands of patients throughout all areas of the hospital. Funds raised have been used to finance cutting-edge equipment; offer professional training and development; support ground-breaking research; and build a new Montreal Children’s Hospital. This year, funds will be going towards more cutting-edge equipment, research and upgrading the hospital playground.
